World Cup 2018: Jordan Pickford and Harry Maguire WAGs comfort tearful England stars

England crashed out of the World Cup 2018 in Russia after losing 2-1 to Croatia in extra time.

After the devastating defeat, the squad’s wives and girlfriends rushed to console their other halves.

Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford was comforted by his girlfriend, Megan Davison, and his loved ones in the stands.

Megan, 22, who has been supporting Jordan in Russia throughout the tournament, looked gutted as she chatted to her beau.

Jordan, 24, planted a kiss on his stunning girlfriend as he came to terms with the loss.

While Fern Hawkins who is engaged to Harry Maguire, attempted to console the footballer who appeared devastated.

The brunette was dressed in a England shirt with Maguire emblazoned across the back for the match.

She was seen stroking her hands through Harry’s hair as he looked towards the pitch.

Fern also posted an Instagram picture of her beau and said she was “proud” of him and the squad.

She wrote: “You have done yourself, your family and the whole nation proud that in itself makes you a winner. #TruePassion #TeamEngland.”

Her post was inundated with messages directed at Harry with many echoing Fern’s thoughts.

One person said: “Aww Fern your lad and the rest of the lads have done us proud... tell Harry still smiling here.”

“THE man of the tournament, absolute stand out player,” another praised.

“Well done everyone is so proud,” said a third.

Jamie Vardy’s wife, Rebekah, 36, could also be seen attempting to cheer up her spouse in the stands.

The former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star consoled the Leicester City player alongside her children, Megan and Taylor.

Rebekah remained positive after the defeat and took to Instagram to encourage the team to look ahead to next time.

“Your dreams don’t have an expiration date.... fall seven times, stand up eight!

“Proud of every single one of these lads! Till the end... #England #oneday.”

Croatia will now take on France in the World Cup 2018 final on Sunday at 4pm on ITV and BBC One.
