Klopp: Sorry for not being City

Jurgen Klopp has hit out at critics who are criticising Liverpool for not playing like Manchester City.

He also thinks Liveprool’s fine start to the season has been overshadowed by City.

Klopp said:

“We have 27 points, conceded four goals, a lot of good things. But we have to not be satisfied with it but see it in the right way, rather positive.

“(It’s like) we win a game and afterwards we have to say sorry that we didn’t win it in the City way. I get that. We have space for improvement but there’s no, no, no reason for any negative view.”

“The season so far, point-wise in the Premier League is really successful, but it doesn’t feel really like that because there are two reasons for that.

“The comparison with last year and our free-flowing football in some games, and Man City and maybe Chelsea and a few others play a very good season as well.

“That’s not a surprise for us. You see us struggle in Belgrade and they (City) win 6-0. Even when it’s not the Premier League, it’s this big gap.”
