Three City youngsters in Guardian 'Next Generation' list

Three young Manchester City players born in 2001 have been included in the Guardian’s prestigious ‘Next Generation’ list for 2018.

The list, released every year, compiles sixty 17 years olds with the potential to have a bright future in football.

Last year, Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior and Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho made the list, as did City’s Benjamin Garre and Lorenzo Gonzalez.

This time three current City starlets have made the cut, highlighting the fine work of the coaches at the City Football Academy in bringing through the best young talents in the world.

The three players are Ivan Ilic, Eric Garcia and Nabil Touaizi, while Takefusa Kubo of City’s sister-club Yokohama F. Marinos is also included.
