A fund-raising page set up by a family friend said Carson has 'life-changing injuries'.

It was reported last night that Carson's mother Chantelle, 27, found him severely injured in the street near his home.

Neighbours grabbed towels to help the youngster.

His aunt Susan Boyd, 31, told the Daily Record: 'He lost his index and ring finger on his left hand. He had a piece of firework stuck in his left eye.'

Carson's mother said: 'We want to warn people what fireworks can do to a family. I'm so grateful to everyone for their help.'
